What should I do if a controller is not tracked?

This hardware is included with the full kit, but not with the headset-only package. You can purchase them separately if you don't have the full kit. To order, go to the Accessories section on www.vive.com/product/. Product availability may vary; please contact customer care with questions.
When a controller appears disabled in the SteamVR app, try the following to troubleshoot the problem:
  • Make sure that the controller is placed inside the play area.
  • Turn the controller off and on again to reactivate the tracking.
  • Restart the SteamVR app. If you still get an error, reboot your computer and reopen the SteamVR app.
