Managing media

You can import photos and videos taken with your VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect and manage them through the app.

Importing media from your glasses

  1. Connect your VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.

    For details, see Connecting your glasses.

  2. Tap .

    If your glasses contain any media, a notification appears on top of the screen.

  3. Tap Import.

    VIVE Connect imports your photos and videos according to your media import settings. For details, see Setting the media import behavior.

Note: If your phone is connected to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, you'll need to disconnect from it first to download media.

Enhancing photos using the AI editor

Every time you import a photo from VIVE Eagle into your VIVE Connect gallery, VIVE AI automatically detects image tilt and allows you to correct it quickly.

  1. Launch VIVE Connect on your phone.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap any image with the icon in the bottom-right corner of the thumbnail.
  4. Tap .
    Tip:

    You can revert the image to its original state by tapping .

Saving media to your phone

  1. Launch VIVE Connect on your phone.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap the photo or video you want to save.
    Tip: You can tap and hold to select more than one photo or video.
  4. Tap .
    Note: If you save the same photo or video more than once, it will be saved as a duplicate in your phone's photo library.
Tip: You can automate saving a copy of your photos and videos to your phone. For details, see Setting the media import behavior.

Setting the video duration

Important: The default length of videos captured with VIVE Eagle is three minutes. You can change this according to your requirements.
  1. Connect your VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.

    For details, see Connecting your glasses.

  2. Tap > Photos and videos > Video duration.
  3. Select a duration.

Setting the media import behavior

When transferring media from your glasses to your phone, all photos and videos are securely saved to the VIVE Connect gallery by default. Uninstalling VIVE Connect or clearing its cache deletes your media. If you want to automatically save a copy of your media to your phone's photo library, turn on Save a copy when importing.

  1. Connect your VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.

  2. Tap > Photos and videos.
  3. Turn on Save a copy when importing.

Deleting media

  1. Launch VIVE Connect on your phone.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap the photo or video you want to delete.
    Tip: You can tap and hold to select more than one photo or video.
  4. Tap .
  5. Select an option.
    Option Description
    Delete from both The media is permanently deleted from both VIVE Connect and your phone. Duplicates with different file names are retained in your phone's photo library.
    Delete from VIVE Connect only The media is permanently deleted from VIVE Connect. Saved copies on your device are unaffected.
