VIVE | Using the VIVE Cosmos Motion Faceplate

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

VIVE Cosmos Controllers

IMPORTANT:

You will need VIVE Cosmos controllers when using VIVE Cosmos with the Motion Faceplate. If you do not have the controllers, you can purchase them from the VIVE store .

SET IT UP

Replacing the current front cover with the Motion Faceplate

Slide down and hold the lock button inside the compartment to unlatch the front cover.

Pry open the front cover starting from the bottom right corner with the visor facing you. Carefully pull out the front cover until it detaches from the visor.

Place the original front cover inside the Motion Faceplate box for safekeeping.

Insert the tabs on the front cover into the slots on the visor. Press the right side of the front cover first, and then press the left side of the front cover.

Note: You will hear a click when the front cover locks in place.

IMPORTANT:

Make sure to minimize the gap between the front cover and the visor, and that all tabs are fully locked into place.

Pair the controllers

Make sure the headset is connected to the computer and powered, and then launch VIVE Console. Check that the headset is Ready and the headset icon has changed to the Motion Faceplate.

In VIVE Console, click Pair under each controller icon to pair the VIVE Cosmos controllers with the headset.

Follow the onscreen instructions to pair the controllers. The blinking status light turns solid when the controllers are successfully paired with the headset.

Room Setup

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the room setup process.

If Room Setup does not automatically open, go to VIVE Console on your computer and click ≡ > Room setup .
